We enjoy the smaller towns and communities which provide a personal experience with those we connect. These cities recognize tourists but have less in the way of pandering to them such as the larger cities have done. We would be curious to see what the on season looks like for tourist traffic and reaching out for amenities usual to tourist... More

Very amazing place and area. Make sure you plan your visit during the sunset so you can walk up to the church up and enjoy the stunning view of the sunset and the city lights. All restaurants there are unique and nice

We didn't find ScIcli in the tour books, but it is near Ragusa and on a tip, we decided to give it a try. Good idea. It is very, but less touristy than Ragusa or Modica. Narrow streets, great views and homes clinging to the hilltop. Nice walking town and not bad to do by car.

We made a brief visit to Scicli at the end of a day but were pleased not to have missed it. We enjoyed a walk up the hill to the old castle and the beautiful views as the sunset. The centre was a little more bustling and busy than some of the smaller hill towns.

We came here in the evening and were overwhelmed by the illuminated buildings and the beautiful setting.

Off the normal track of the other more well known Baroque towns of Ortigia, Noto, Modica and Ragusa. Quieter and smaller and probably my favourite.

This is a very quaint town and easy to drive in--compared to larger cities like Catania or Siracusa. Nice place for a one-night stop while touring Sicily.

We had not planned don visiting but were persuaded by other to try it. Glad we did. You drop down into it rather than looking up at it on a hill. The centre is a small place full of interest. Obviously a profusion of baroque churches. Go the whole hog & climb up to Santa Matteo.....& beyond

Scicli was one of the towns in the Ragusa area we had not visited until the last trip. I can't imagine why we had missed it before! Yes, it is another place where they film Inspector Montalbano (I confess I'm a fan) using the facade of the church of San Giovanni Evagelista, and yet another late-baroque town of great beauty.... Scicli is full of gorgeous baroque churches and palazzos but is smaller than towns like Ragusa and Noto. It doesn't take long to become familiar with the layout and the central area. After a day or two there you should feel very much at home.It is a friendly place with a life beyond tourism but has some good accommodation and... More
