You will taste 3 fancy wines in the end of the tour. There is a spot to order cheese plates and enjoy it with great wineVisited December 2022Travelled as a coupleWritten 22 December 2022
- SilverOrlovTel Aviv, Israel1,819 contributionsThis is a magical wine.It doesn't happen on purpose, but 3 out of 5 bottles of wine that my wife and I order when we go somewhere are of this type of wine. And most often is Gamla. Well, at last we were able to visit the source of the wine we loved so much. There are small excursions here, but we didn’t get there at the right time, so we took another entertainment: a very sociable pretty girl in English told us about several of the wines we chose that they make here and let us try each one. It was a wonderful experience...both the wine and the conversation. We decided to buy 3 different bottles at once for ourselves and 1 for my mother as a present. Be sure to visit this place, with a tour or not - it's definitely worth it.Visited March 2023Written 13 April 2023

The Golan Heights have a cool climate, which produces fine wines that remain in demand. Golan Heights Winery is a joint operation of local co-operatives, who also supply the grapes. The white wine is very good, we shared a few bottles when we were in the region.Visited September 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 3 November 2023

Our group volunteering on an archaeology dig visited the winery for a tour and a wine tasting. Our host was knowledgeable, great for beginners and the more experienced wine tasters. Highly recommend.

Get the VIP tour - very much worth it! But I suspect the regular tour is good, too, because it is a beautiful setting and really good wines. We enjoyed the personal touch with the VIP tour.

The Golan Heights have a perfect climate to grow grapes, which are turned into Israel's best wine. The temperature is warm during the day and chilly at night, which is perfect to get maximum flavor from wine grapes. The Golan produces both white and red wines. The high altitude is perfect for producing table wines, I like the full-flavored reds best.

We had a great time at Golan Winery. We ordered the cheese platter with wine. There is a beautiful outside area to sit and it was all really enjoyable. Even without doing the tour. I would go back !

I normally go for blends, but I liked the Cab better. Nice tasting room with cheese and crackers. Kosher.

The Mashgiach showed us around for over an hour and then let us taste some pretty good vintages. Good deal.

What an impressive facility! We had a very enjoyable and exciting tour and then went to the tasting room where we tasted several wines and the children tasted juices. The winery was very friendly and helpful and was great with the kids. Best of all, we purchased lots of wine and honey to fight BDS at the end!

No. Only on costly VIP tours.

1. Is it kosher? 2. Is it permitted to bring small (well-behaved) kids on the tour?

All wines are kosher and yes kids would be safe. We had a private tour but a private tasting would be boring for the kids. Also see Assaf, Dalton. But some wines are kosher and some are not.
