We were here mid September which is towards the end of season but it was still packed. The beach isn't the cleanest and not many amenities but it's an interesting spot. We swam/walked to the island - if you go to the far right of the beach as you're facing the island, about in line with the west end of town, you can walk along a sand bar for a good part of the way getting deeper and deeper until you have to swim a little, if it's clear and sunny you can kind of see where it runs. The lighthouse building is all locked up but you can climb down the cliffs over towards the east side behind it and swim into some grottos. We snorkeled and to be honest there isn't a whole lot to see but the snorkel was just helpful to swim with because you can just float face down and relax. It was worth a visit but we wouldn't go back.

There’s a place in the southeast of Sicily where you can see two seas meeting each other. This is the place!
The beach is clean and spacious, there’s also a bar/restaurant and some facilities. The car park is close to the beach

a bit difficult to reach without privat trasportation, but totally worth the trip! The beaches are clean, not overcrowded (almost empty early/mid september) and what a water!

My family and I spent the day at this beach on our recent trip to Sicily and absolutely loved it! the beach wasn't terribly crowded (compared to NYC beaches in the summertime at least), the water was crystal clear and warm and the cafe had everything we needed to make it a great day!
They have showers *for a fee* and toilets *free* and the parking lot is only 3 Euros a day, free after 3pm.

I was at Isola delle correnti for only One day. The beach was clean and the staff at the Lido really kind. It’s definetely worth a visit.

Impressive sand formation - shaped by the currents of two seas which meet right here. Lovely beaches and nice island housing a lighthouse. The southernmost top of the island of Sicily - a must if you are touring the area by car or bike!

Visited here today. Totally rank. The smell of sewage in the car park was enough to make us retch. The beach area is thick with rubbish and bottles, a huge disappointment. So let down, we were expecting somewhere beautiful. Photos of the depressing car park area attached.

Ho sentito dire che è pericoloso fare il bagno appunto per via delle correnti e tante persone locali dicono che addirittura per questo spesso scappa il morto, ci sono zone a rischio?

Non mi sembra di aver sentito qualcosa di simile in loco, la costa degrada dolcemente non sprofonda di colpo, certo è prudente non allontanarsi troppo dalla riva se non esperti.
Il punto estremo dell'isolotto lo si raggiunge a piedi, l'acqua può arrivare a meta corpo, nell'attraversata bisogna fare attenzione ai sassi che sono scivolosi.
È possibile andata con il passeggino,magari arrivare anche sull'isola?

Molto dipende dal tempo, ma il sito rimane sempre accessibile. Ovviamente possono essere le condizioni marine un po’ più avverse, ma se si ha la possibilità, tentar non nuoce

La spiaggia è accessibile dal parcheggio privato attraverso una passerella lignea che attraversa le dune fino al lido Scialai (che per la cronaca tradotto dal siculo è una esclamazione di goduria)
naturalmente attorno si estendono tutte zone di spiaggia libera.
Se invece ti riferisci all'attraversata verso l'isola con un pargolo...sconsiglierei l'impresa. Ciao
