The most beautiful medieval castle in Romania. Constructed in 15th-century for John Hunyadi. As one of the most important properties of his. Built in a Renaissance-Gothic style. Magical place. This castle need to be seen if you are in RO. Also very close to Parangu, Retezatu mountains which hide other Romanian surprises.

One must know that this is the only touristical place to see in Hunedoara. The castle is quite nice, you can still feel that medieval spirit but it's not something as fabulous as a castle in Germany for example. A ticket costs around 5 euros (full price) and you can purchase an audioguide in multiple languages. Another interesting thing is... More

This a castle that needs to be seen. A well preserved castle from the very old time. It reminds you of Hogward

We stopped here sort of on a whim during our drive from Belgrade to Cluj and my party and I ended up enjoying our visit to this castle much more than our trip to the much more famous Bran Castle. Corvin Castle felt much more like a mediaeval fortification while Bran left us with the impression of an kitsch antique... More

We went there more for the legends and the movie based on the Corvin family and we weren't disappointed. Much, much better than Bran Castle, where they claim it's Dracula's castle, but there was only an attic with Tepes' portrait.

This is one of the three most well-known castles of Romania, a place Transylvania is famous for: well preserved, with typical architecture and well maintained. I wish they had a comprehensive audio guide as the Peles or the Bran castles have but the beautiful landscape and surroundings make you feel like you are part of a knights movie in medieval... More
