I visited this place to take picture of my wife in red and yellow leaves. It was stunning. Many people realized how beautiful this place was, so you see tons of people on weekends. Show up early, because many Japanese do not wake up until 0830 on the weekend. This is not an attraction park. If you are looking for... More

This gem of a park is close to the Iwakuni Castle and shouldn't be missed. In early spring it was green and gorgeous, lovely and tranquil.

The momijidani park is not as big as the one in Miyajima, not it is still worth a visit when you go to iwakuni.

If you are in the area Kintaikyo Bridge, you can visit this beautiful garden, especially with leaves coloration typical in Japan. Beautiful! That brief word to represent this place.

I love this little park any time of the year. It's a beautiful area to just walk around and enjoy the trees and the little area with the spectacular green moss all over. This park is especially gorgeous in the fall as they have many maple trees. Definitely a must see if visiting the Kintai area!!

This park is at the base of the paved path up to Iwakuni Castle and is a peaceful, beautiful place to just walk around. It is also great for pictures. You can spend as little as 5 minutes walking through or you can probably sit and have a picnic for as long as you like.

I was able to witness the trees change colors in the fall. It was spectacular. My pictures turned out just as amazing!

I arrived just in time for the turning of the maples leaves. Many of the trees in this park turn yellow, orange, red, and even fushia pink in mid-late November. It is conveniently located near Kintaikyo bridge and Iwakuni Castle, so it is easy to stop in and look around at all the trees exploding in color.
