I could spend the whole day trying to describe the experience of visiting this place and I'm sure I wouldn't get even close. So if you ever are going to or from Gramado, take time from your trip to stop at this place. I'm sure it will be an unforgettable experience.

It is a religious place (Buddhist) in the middle of a exuberant nature. It is for free, but pay attention to the operating because it's very limited. Not recommended for children, since it is a place for silence and respect. They don't have meals in there, take your snacks with you. Animals are forbidden. Don't miss the video about the history of the temple.

It looks we are in Tibet or something. It is big with Stupas and everything! We had a misfortune over there and we had a great support mainly from Gustavo a temple volunteer! Our Motorcycle broke and we spent hours waiting for help.

The guy of the service desk is extremamely rude, unpolite and with no consideration. How a budist place select a person like that to deal with visitors? It should be a little bit more coherence to choose a person more apt, with more patience and politeness to deal with the public.

Having a time between a visit to Gramado we decided to know this beautiful and calm place. The road is good even if unpaved, a tea house right before getting to the Temple, lots of charming adopted dogs, a beautiful view of the Valley bellow, colorfull temples, gardens and a sense of peace.
Take a time to relax and meditate sitting on the green grass or just listen to the wind blowing.
There is a small book store where you can buy some gifts from the Bhudist Temple.

It is a surprise to find in the mountains of RS a spot that is unique in its style given its geographical location. Besides it has been developed evenly and aesthetically. It invites to meditation and nature appreciation.

The temple is located in an extremely beautiful area, with great view to the surrounding area. It is open for visitation from Wednesday through Sunday, with a second temple (Terra Pura) open only in weekends. Near the temple we also have other buildings, such as prayer wheels, Guru Rinpoche statue, Buda Akshobia statue, stupas, house of lamps and, in the area which is open only in weekends, prayer flags and the temple Terra Pura de Padmasambava (A Replica of the Padmasambava Palace). Do not miss the souvenir store which is located at the left side of the temple (external area). Visits are welcome Monday through Friday from 9:30AM through 11:30AM and 02:00PM through 05:00PM, as well as Saturdays and Sundays from 09:00AM through 04:00PM. In the weekends you can also visit the "Terra Pura" temple. The area is closed for visitation on Mondays and Tuesdays.
There is no charge for visits. Donations can be made in one of three boxes in the main temple (including one for lamps requests). Once you arrive make sure to go to teh Video Room, to watch a video about Guru Rinpoche (and the temple), where rules for visitors are also displayed. SMOKING IS FORBIDDEN IN THE WHOLE SITE.

Indeed it was my second visit to this Temple. I went back with my boyfriend. The first time I haven't see the dogs. You can believe: even the dogs are completly Zen. We passed by many of them and they didn't move an ear. Just layed down, resting in the sun that makes the hole garden of the Temple more beutiful.
Well...people are very nice, the air is fine, the temples are amazing and the silence is incredibly good!
