Best place to take care of your cold and sore bones after a hard day of skiing. I Loved the Sauna and the cold water pool not so easy to find in Japan.

Do it. It's expensive. Like $80-a-person expensive. But if you are staying in the hotel and you go there after dinner, you can usually negotiate two days worth of onsen for the one ticket. Try that out. And enjoy your break.

"Shisai no Yu" is located inside the New Furano Prince Hotel, which is really combined for the guests. It is a not entirely natural hot spring as the water is pumped up from more than 1km down into the bowels of the earth and apparently the original temperature of the water is only 26.6 degrees centigrade! Therefore, for all the... More

Very well setup. Even the walk into this sanctuary is zen-like. Pure relaxation with therapeutic services available for booking after 3pm. Go early in the morning to avoid crowds. Outside onsen is bliss especially with flurry snow flakes falling. Showers also available with the sit-down traditional wash cubicles.

Nice large indoor onsen at 38 degrees and then step outside into 42 degrees with snow falling on your head - bliss. Great for a muscle relax after a days skiing.
