I loved this! It's worth the drive, and the walk to see it. The fall colours were beautiful and it's amazing to see the rock. The rugged coast is just a bonus. I'm not slim, or young, and the walk was fine. There was a...More

Have visited twice, ten years apart. On the first visit it was a wild forest hike, with a rope-assisted descent down the cliff to see the rock. On the second visit, a stroll along a walkway with steps down to the rock. On both occasions it...More

We had a great time. At the end of the trail you have to climb down steep but safe steps so need to be fit.

This is a short trail and the terrain is not bad at all - ok for city shoes but I would not do it in flip flops. As noted by others it's a 1.7 km trail with 235 or so steps, so double that with...More

Give yourself an hours for the hike. An easy hike with maintained trail. At the end there's many stairs and a few places to step off with seating if you need a rest or relax and enjoy the view. A definite must do!

The hike from the parking area to the shore was a 2.5-km trail ending with a 235-step staircase to the shore to see the balancing rock from a platform. There were families with young children (not toddlers) who managed the hike.

Not a bad walk out to the rock but be aware there are several sets of stairs as you approach the rock. We found it took longer than we had planned. Not good for people with sore knees!

We were passing through, returning from a whale watching tour on Brier Island the day before. We left early in the morning in order to hike this trail before catching the ferry. Walking at a steady pace, it took us less than an hour to...More

A beautiful sight over the ocean!! However, be prepared for an arduous journey to see it....it was much further than expected and advertised over a slippery rocky trail with protruding roots...up and down and just when you think you are almost there...250 steps down and...More

My friend and I did this trail as a day trip. The trail itself is more of a stroll and quite well marked with points of interest along the way with good information about the local flora. Then come the stairs! Well made and with...More
