Little museum, with history of the recipe, there is also a movie about the process of making the barley sugar. The building is charming and situated on the old, picturesque bridge. The entrance has fee (1 or 2 euros), it's open till 18 during weekends....More

You cannot go to Moret-sur-Loing without trying France's oldest candy! It dates back to 1638. By today's standards nothing extraordinary in terms of flavors but it's all natural... and they come in pretty little boxes!

Quite simply the best barley sugar in the world, bought lots, such a quaint place and perfect in the town, very popular but even in August not too busy, would recommend this highly!

This tiny museum devoted to the story of the town's secret recipe barley sugar is a delight. At only €2 for entry it holds a lot of interest. It's worth it to visit the unique building in which the exhibition is housed.

I have spent much time in Moret, eagerly awaiting the opening of this museum. The location is terrific - with in the middle of the River Loing, with great views of the eglise and other historic medieval buildings. Unusual for the other museums I have...More
