I went on a Day Trip of Lake Kivu on 06th January 2018 with a friend. a great experience to have. I was very very impressed. It's large like a sea. very calm water. but i wear a life jacket.

Average lake depth is almost 800ft. with no visibility. Depending on where you stay there is little to do other than a boat ride and looking at the lake. No beach.

Nice to see and get relax We can get kivu from Kigali by 3 hrs road journey Road id good Boating as per our requirements we can use how ever we need.. 2 hrs for 25000 RWF we paid.

I stayed in Kibuye and took a half-day boat ride to 'chapeau de Napoleon' island. The views are lovely and the temperature was perfect for a refreshing dip in the lake. Very picturesque and peacefully quiet,
