Beautiful Waterfall, was flowing really strongly after the heavy rains. Entrance was R20pp. About 3km really bad dirt road. Short walk to the Waterfall. Place to swim but we didn't due to it being so full. Would do Lone Creek Falls and Bridal Veil Falls first and if time permits, then do this one.

We visited about 7 falls and liked these the most. Don't misinterpret the pictues here: the lower falls are very small indeed but the higher falls are big.

There is a river over the road so cars cannot continue to the falls, we had to turn around without seeing it at all. Don't attempt if it has rained recently.

We actually turned around and didn’t even bother to try and get to the falls as the roads are so bad! Cant believe that this is supposed to be tourist attractions!

A cool walk through the beautiful trees and stunning surrounds to the waterfall is amazing. The waterfall is beautiful. So calming, we truly have a beautiful country. Entrance fee is reasonable and there is safe parking. Bit of a drive though as the road is gravel and a bit bumpy. The tar road had many potholes. But definitely worth the drive. Ice cream available at the shop that has neat and clean seating.

Pretty enough, but the furthest to reach of the 3 falls (Horse shoe/Lone creek/Bridal veil)
Their appears to be a canteen in construction; which would up the value for going here along with the other falls (ability to lunch)
If you are pressed for time; Bridal Veil falls is a far better choice, being the closest off the main road, and the most interactive (you can get under them) of the lot.

Some locals claiming it is a private property demanding entrance fee. Very strange and don’t look legal. Very short walk to the falls, nice for a picnic but lame as a hike.
Very bad road. Find other, friendlier places in the area.

After 7 days of rain in the area we were lucky as I have never seen the Horse Shoe Falls that beautiful as today. This is a must see and for sure as the entrance fee is only R10. The owner is making the place very beautiful - nice grass and picnic possibilities and clean ablution block.
The walk is not easy but also not very difficult. Wear good walking shoes and be careful as the rain forest makes the rocks slippery.

The Horseshoe Falls of South Africa are waterfalls that are located 4 km off the Old Lydenburg Road along the Sabie River in Mpumalanga. These unusual falls, although not very high, are horseshoe shaped and have been declared a national monument.
