Lone Creek is one of the most beautiful waterfalls I had ever seen. The waterfalls is the tallest in Mpumalanga and can be seen from a distance as you take a short hike to the falls. The water is super cold but soaking is all worth it.

The waterfall is amazing and very beautiful to look at. However the road there needs to be repaired has a lot of potholes and is very rough consider this if you will be using a rented car rather get a 4X4.
The trail is short and takes less than an hour to walk.

This waterfall is magnificent! The cliffside is also awesome - a geological wonder!
We thoroughly enjoyed the visit to these falls. A few notes on our visit:
* The public road leading to Lone Creek Falls is horrifying to drive - there are more potholes than tar. You'll need some time for this drive of approx. 8km.
* There is a R30 per person entrance fee.
* The car park is very safe and it's an easy 250m walk to the waterfall on a flatish path. There's a circular route past the falls to get back to the car park.
* When we visited there were many no-entry signs around the waterfall - seems they're trying to rehabilitate some of the area around the falls. If you keep walking past these signs on the path you get to a new viewing deck and path where you can stand on the "beach" at the bottom of the falls.
* We were very impressed by how clean this attraction is kept, especially considering that many of the other government-run sites disappointed us because of litter etc. Glad to see the entrance fees are being well used here!

Beautiful view and safe parking. At R30 per person it is more expensive that the other falls in the area with the same level of maintenance and beauty.

The road there was wrought with hazardous potholes. The falls were stunning - definitely worth a quick stopover to admire the falls

Definitely our favourite waterfall of them all. Short walk to the falls and when you cross the bridge you can take amazing photos.

The waterfall will take your breath away with its natural beauty and is something truly exceptional to behold. It is easily accessible, about 200m walk from the parking. Can get a bit crowded though. There is also picnic facilities near the falls to make the visit even more worthwhile for the price paid.

Truly majestic. Not a huge size however the position and how it flows creates some tranquil feeling. A few more trails around the falls would make it even greater. We saw it 10 years ago, but guess what, feels like it is new

Hi
Is the waterfalls in the Sabie area dog friendly?

Hi M. Just spoke to a friend he says he saw a few people walk their dogs there so I guess it’s fine. Enjoy it, many other attractions around there.
Hi. Is it possible to get behind the waterfall, meaning to get to a point or in a position where the water comes falling down infront of you.

No, you will be direct where the water falls. It also depends on the season, due rain abundant days it’s beautiful & clear but difficult to be there and not get wet from the fine mist. Google MacMac Waterfalls and Lisbon Waterfall, both South Africa not far from Lone Creek
How much do you pay to get in?
Can a person braai there?

Please, who can I contact to find out the entrance fee for a group of 30-40 pensioners with a bus ?
Is it safe for them to have a picnic at the falls during the week ?
