For 3 days I couldn't catch this church open and when it was open it was closed to visitors as there was ceremony inside. So I just saw the hurch from outside and how solid are the Assyrians to protect their religious building.

Our friend led us up from the street to the church. It is open during the day to view the courtyard, but you need someone to open the church. We were able to go inside. They have a lot of historical works of art.

This church is one of the many churches of mardin but its easy to visit because of its location its on the old mardin so very nice to take a short visit its worth to see one of the small pearls of mardin.

This is a nice, peaceful haven in Mardin, with a large courtyard/garden with trees, and the church itself is interesting and worth a visit. The priest was friendly.

I finally found this church from the 4th century. The outside was ok. It was free and so was the inside. But you are allowed to take photos inside which sucks big time. But it's still interesting and worth checking out.

Very interesting church of 40 martys with 5 alters and a very friendly priest who will enlighten you and answer any questions you may have.

Go there passing the old streets of Mardin (not along the main street). The son of the preacher guided us, a great experience. Beautifully maintained, many interesting details to see, as the iron door, door knobs, the churchyard, prayer books and the church itself.

Certainly worth a stop. A llmg walk uo the hill, but then that describes most of Mardin!
