On a bright November afternoon, the autumn colours of the gardens are a magnet for photographers. Although there were lots of visitors, families included, the gardens did not lose their sense of peace. Walking around the lake, you can appreciate different aspects of the planting and design, but it was the smaller features that we found quite magical. Don't miss... More

Wonderful historic, formal Japanese Garden in the heart of the Pays de la Loire. If you have the opportunity to spend 2 - 4 hours here its an absolute must. Breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful.

While the gardens are hardly on a main tourist route in the Loire Valley, they are certainly worth making a detour to see. Fantastic oriental rather than Japanese gardens with wonderful sculpted trees, Khmer temple & footbridge, Pagoda, lake, ponds, streams and masses of oriental plants. Great photographic opportunities throughout the garden, with beautiful results. Separate bamboo garden and bonsai... More

What a find - You have to visit this park, tucked away in a small town in the middle of nowhere. Judging by the planting it would be a good place to visit at any time of the year. we spent a couple of hours just wandering around. We found it so calm and peaceful, it was wonderful and we... More

The perfect place to find peace, quietness, very Zen place to be. If one has stress in their life and takes a walk in the park on a daily basis it will all be gone. I sometimes meditate and think of this place, puts me in a relaxed state of mind instantly. Absolutely amazing and beautiful place to experience

Our second visit to this wonderful park, and just like 2 years ago, we spent 2 hours wandering the paths along the lake, admiring the artistry of the gardeners who tend to the plants and trees. And afterwards we visited the shop / museum to see the bonzai trees, some of which are over 30 years old. A nice cool... More

Lovely day out. Fantastic range of plants and trees. We were staying at the chateau next door which that meant that we could get to our accommodation quickly after a full day.

We visited the Parc Oriental today. What a wonderful place to visit. Beautifully kept, lovely surroundings, gorgeous trees and flowers, very peaceful. You walk around the Parc and can read about its history and see and smell the delights. Once you have finished your walk you end up at a lovely Tea room with great staff. A must to visit.

A planned stop of 2 hours into 5 converted a planned slow onward drive into a motorway 'Rush' such is the effect on my wife of these gardens. Not being a gardener such an outing would leave me cold save that this is an exception to the general rule. The rest of the family were in ecstasy - thus the... More

It was spring and the garden was coming to life with new green leaves spreading to make a canopy of cover in this delightful garden. It probably needs a morning or an afternoon to walk through this park to see it all. There is much to see and the ambience is calm and peaceful - the colours of the fresh... More
