Had a really nice relaxing walk part way around Lake Bala in the late autumn sunshine. Parked for free on the road at the north side of the lake after a view filled drive over from Lake Vyrnwy. Stunning mountain scenery surrounds this massive body of water with wild swimming and paddle boarding activities. There is a cafe and toilet facilities so whether it's walking the dog or getting some fresh air there's plenty to see at this beauty spot.

Another hot sunny day, enjoyed sitting on grass watching boats and windsurfers etc.. Nice cafe on site, boat hire and wet suits for hire. We had a wander around town, worth a wander, and had an interesting drive round the lake.

Great little cafe next to Bala Lake. No tables inside really have a view of the lake but never mind plenty of time to enjoy that. The egg and chips and sausage & chips were great, runny eggs, plenty of chips and 2 nice coffees, all just right for a chilly visit to this lovely part of Wales.

Several choices of walking routes along the lake and it is a great idea to walk one way and then get the train back to Bala. There is a £20 minimum fee on the railway.

The Lake has beautiful views and is great for water sports. The Bala adventure and water sports staff were really friendly. We hired kayaks and paddle boards enjoying our experience on the water.
