We booked windsurfing on probably one of the windiest and rainiest days of our holiday and loved it! Mark was a friendly and patient instructor with great recommendations for the local area. We returned to kayak 2 days later, a delightful leisurely afternoon on the lake. Plan a visit whatever the weather!

Booked SUP and Kayaks for group of 6 for family trip to Bala Lake enroute to Pembrokeshire coast, where we usually surf, body board and Kayak. First time on SUP, really enjoyed the hour hire session, slight breeze meant we where limited to the section near the jetty but didn't effect the fun. The team at Bala Adventure and Watersports centre really helpful and accomodating us for a last minute change to our booking to add another Kayak to the 2 SUP and 3 Kayaks already booked in advance. Equipment was all in good condition and felt we where in a safe environment, will be back again now have the bug for SUP.

Great family afternoon. We did the multiactivity with an instructor (Mark). Gave us tuition (basic strokes and chance to learn and ask questions) and confidence to feel we'd really achieved learning the ropes and had fun at the same time. We started out in two person canoes and finished in one person kayaks, so our youngest son felt his confidence grow and that he'd ended up doing solo, which he'd not wanted to do at the start. The boats are really stable, lake Bala beautiful, friendly staff, favourite afternoon of the holiday according to our sons so could recommend to others including families. We could have had a go with a paddle board as well. Super afternoon.

Great afternoon of kayaking, canoeing and stand up paddle boarding on Lake Bala. Our instructor, Jake, made the experience both safe and lots of fun. He was great with the children who really listened to him.

Me and my two sisters and our boyfriends went Bala over the last couple of days, the Monday we went to the lake and the weather was glorious we where advised to book ahead for tomorrow if we wanted to do any sports on the lake so we did. We booked a kayak and two paddle boards for the following day. When we arrived the following day the weather was horrible the lake was so choppy so one sister who is pregnant decided not to join in for obvious reasons. Two people went on the kayak and two people who previously had the paddle birds booked where advised to swap them for a canoe to avoid getting wet (total lie we got drenched) to get into the lake you have to make it past the 5 ft of rock otherwise the boat won’t move so either way you have to get into the water to get out far enough to to. After 20 mins we thought we may as well get the paddle boards as we where already drenched at this point which they happily let us swap. Couldn’t stay on them for longer than a minute due to the intense waves. Highly recommend you check them double check the weather. I am black and blue from being thrown around and my boyfriend had a bruise from his coccyx to the middle of his back from bashing into the rocks on the kayak. I do think that if they know the weather is going to be so awful they so stop the hire of the activities as your basically paying for nothing as you can’t even make it past the rocky shore without being pushed back by the waves. The picture is literally where we spent the whole time
