Quaint colonial historic center. A little bit crowded but still relaxed on a weekday visit, although I think I would avoid weekends. Interesting variety of shops, sites and restaurants.

Honest review here… Don’t waste your time or money. We read the reviews and thought this would be a nice side trip from Medellin…NO. We hired a driver and took the long 2 hour drive. Our driver was excellent and We’ve used him before so he gave us the history of the city. We walked across the famous bridge Puente de Occidente which was built in the 19th century by the same person who built the Brooklyn Bridge. That was nice, and the town was Ok. Had lunch and that was just OK. Then there was the 2 hour drive back to Medellin.

Cost… $180 for the driver, $100 lunch for 5 including the driver. 6 hours of wasted vacation time. Stay in Medellin, much more to do and see and if you feel you’ve seen it all, just go back to your favorite place or…Take the money, fly to NY and walk the Brooklyn Bridge… better photo ops and better food

Overall, I was kind of disappointed by Santa Fe as a whole. Really not much to do here. You can easily see everything in an afternoon. We did enjoy just staying around the pool and chill with some drinks. There are plenty of places to eat in the evening and watch people.

I was in this place last year. I went to santa fe, because muy boyfriend when he was a young live here. It Is amaizing go to know about the place. Also, this place Is very near of other places like confenalco(tamarindos park) and Suspension Bridge of the West.

In santa fe of antioquia, there are many places to know, for example the Suspension Bridge of the West, you can go for this place in car or local taxi, there is a beutiful and so photogenic place.

The central park of Santa fe Is beutiful, there are many flowers. It was know the historical monuments. on the other hand when i walked for the town, i saw nice people and beautiful houses. In my opinion, Santa Fe is a place you need visit.

Most travelers do not understand how huge the size of Colombia is. From Medellín to Santa Fe de Antioquia is about 90 minutes on a good day. Sadly, the construction of the new autopsista (freeway) means that there are lots of one-lane, traffic-control areas and lots of huge construction trucks along the route. We encountered 30 minute plus delays coming and going.

I highly recommend starting much earlier in the day. Once there, park a few blocks away in the private parking lots if you're in a private car. Lots of little places to explore in the town square starting with the Basilica and then the other churches all a minutes apart.

If you speak and read Spanish, the attractions will be more interesting. Plenty of OK restaurants and places to get coffee and ice cream. It is always warm here - dress accordingly.

Enjoy your visit.

Or someone looking to get away from the chaos of a large city like Medellin, Santa Fe de Antioquia is nice for a short visit. The main attractions are the main plaza the Cathedral Basilica and the Wednesday day accident day The main attractions are the main plaza, the Cathedral Basilica and the Puente de Occidente. A foreign visitor would be hard-pressed to find things to do after one or two days.
