Came for both day & night visits - same no different. Using the tram instead of walking around the zoo. There were quite a number of animals but it's smaller compared to other zoos in Malaysia.

The price is not expensive compare to Zoo Negara. However, this Zoo Taiping is not well manage for small animals. Some cages are too dark and cannot see anything. Bigger animal like elephants, tigers and giraffes have better view.

Many of the animal habitats are not well maintained although the animals seems to be well fed. Maybe the weather was very hot when we visited, most of the animals didn't seem to be energetic.

We went on the night safari, in reality we were driven round the zoo at night by a tractor and trailers, a member of staff shining a torch into the cages trying to point out the animals, it was ok, on balance it was cheap,...More

Very poor maintenance. Dirty. Poops everywhere. Terrible smell. Most of the places we have to walk with our nose closed. Animals are not clean and look sick. Some cages are empty. Some Animals such as rhinoceros, lion and etc look old and inactive. There is...More

1. Parking bays need upgrading. There was puddle of water almost everywhere after a downpour making it difficult to park and alight. 2. About 30% of the animals (placed in cages/glass aquariums) could not be seen or spotted. 3. Lighting needs improvement. P/S: check weather...More

I think the fee is RM17 for the daytime and RM20 for the night safari. I went with children so just ensure they eat at certain spots and not open any food in sight of the monekys and you should be fine. If you are staying... More
