Phillip Island is a worthwhile day trip from Melbourne. We signed up for the Rangers Tour. You get binoculars, earphones and a blanklet. The ranger gives you a commentary before, during and after the parade. He knows all the places to look, so you see...More

There wasn't all that much to see - not many penguins because of the time of year? We saw more running around after the fact, in the dark, going to their little "huts." It was very crowded - we didn't pay extra, just sat in...More

Dear violetpilot852 Thanks for taking the time to write a review on your recent visit to the Penguin Parade. The penguin numbers do fluctuate on a daily basis subject to seasonal and life cycle conditions, so I'm sorry you didn't get to see all that...More

Our tour was through AAT Kings. If you can, upgrade to the "Guided Penguin Plus" tour. We learned so much from the guide and he really enhanced our experience with viewing the Penguins. Also you are much closer, you get binoculars for viewing, and a...More

My understanding is that there are different combination passes to see multiple attractions. The key recommendation that I would have is to choose Penguins Plus as the penguin ticket. Hope this helps.
