This is a beautiful island and has stunning scenery. The penguins coming ashore at sunset was magical, only minus was the noisy and inconsiderate visiting hoards of Chinese tourists who did not listen to staff instructions and constantly stood up and blockec our view. Perhaps limiting the numbers of visitors would help. Expect crowds !!

Went to see this many years ago, so decided to go again on our trip there. They have updated the area quite a bit. They are such great animals to watch and see making their way to their nests. If you can afford the extra, take the Penguins Plus option, you get a very close view of the penguins and... More

Amazing little birds .One comes out of the water then waddles back in until others come out, then they waddle up the beach together. Watch them walking to their burrows as you head back up the boardwalk. Unfortunately not allowed to take photos or videos.

Absolutely different experience from anything else. Unusual natural phenomenon with everyday performance and great values for people taking care of nature on Phillip Island.

Great to watch the tiny penguins return home from the sea after a full day of work hunting for food. You get to walk beside them!!

Had young children that are not good at waiting but Tom the ranger chatted with then as the Penguins didn't arrive till after 9pm. It was very cold so come prepared. Not many penguins but great to see them up close on the way back from the beach along the walkway. Great shop I got a fleece blanket that I... More

We arrived here on a Saturday night three adults, teenage boy and 7 year old boy. Lucky we had booked as it had sold out. We arrived about an hour early and were about ten rows back. Despite numerous announcements asking people to stay seated and not take photos when the Penguins came out of the water it appeared many... More

What an experience, worth every penny. Wrap up though it does get cold even on a hot summers day as the evening temperature cools down and a cool breeze coming off the ocean is noticeable. The board walk is great fun especially once the penguins have landed as they hurry back to their nests to feed their hungry young, you... More

Over the years Ive been to the Penguin Parade a number of times, usually sitting on the concrete steps in weather ranging from mild to freezing cold. My daughter arranged for tickets to watch from the newly built underground bunker - lots of little penguins marching past at eye level. What amazed me though was the number of people ignoring... This is the second time I have been to Phillip Island. Unfortunately the last visit I didn't see the penguins but they are really lovely to watch, I hope the crowds don't frighten them. The actual visitor centre is very informative and you can look into some real live penguin nests. The gift shop is very reasonable.
