We opted to buy tickets for the ultimate adventure and are so glad we did .We were provided with all the gear we needed, including a night scope. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and we will never forget sitting on our private beach watching the nearly 300 penguins that came in on our beach.

We went with the best intentions of seeing penguins, boy we were not disappointed! That part was great... Unfortunately the resort was far to overcrowded, the building was riddled with mice (i can understand this, it is a rural location) however I felt sorry for the staff as they were spread so thin, could not cope with the amount of... PLENTY of free parking available and please note to check under your car after dark before leaving for Penguins. If you are doing the underground viewing I would advise to get there early to secure your spot at the window. The rangers are very friendly and very helpful and the Penguins are just adorable. Great educational experience to be had... More

We arrived in time to get seats mid-way up the general viewing area and witnessed a spectacular sunset over the beach as we waited in suspense for the little penguins to arrive, which they did as predicted near dark. The last time I visited the penguin parade was probably 35 years ago and a lot has changed since then, but... More

Like many top attractions, this is very popular so you need a bit of an edge. Penguins Plus provided an excellent spot for seeing the penguins. Don't expect to arrive at the last moment and get front row seats. We were with our grandchildren and they did get bored waiting. However the wait was well and truly worth it

We took our 2 grand daughters here for great experience. We paid bit extra and did the Penguins plus which I am glad we did, worth money. Seats max 300 people with guaranteed views of penguins. Rangers did fantastic job of keeping people right down the front seated so all could see. hats off to them. Penguins arrived on time... More

Heaps of parking available and a good idea to check the time the penguins have been arriving. You can visit the centre during the day and walk along the boardwalks for free until early afternoon and we were lucky to see a penguin in its nesting box. For the night tour, dress warmly as it can get chilly sitting on... More

Phillip Island is a worthwhile day trip from Melbourne. We signed up for the Rangers Tour. You get binoculars, earphones and a blanklet. The ranger gives you a commentary before, during and after the parade. He knows all the places to look, so you see a ton of penguins. You have a private viewing area. He knows the behaviors, so... There wasn't all that much to see - not many penguins because of the time of year? We saw more running around after the fact, in the dark, going to their little "huts." It was very crowded - we didn't pay extra, just sat in the regular seats. As everyone says, the people that go to the front and stand... More
