The museum holds a comprehensive collection of the artillery used by the French from the middle ages to recent times. You don't have to be a weapons buff to appreciate this - for me, the appeal was in the way the artillery developed as conditions and technology changed. The building is new and well-designed. Exhibits are well displayed, very accessible and with good explanatory signage in French and English. Some staff spoke English too and were really helpful and welcoming. Can thoroughly recommend a visit - one of the best specialist museums I've visited. There's no entry fee.

Open Sunday to Wednesday. What is that all about? Check the opening days and hours before you go. I can't comment on the exhibition. Never mind.

I was the one who wanted to go but it turned out to be a great experience for all of us. The cannons, the artillery batteries, the rifle collections and so on. There are a few words on most items but the major experience is in french. Parking is outside the gated area. Admission is free. You need to ID yourself and yes, they will hold your ID during your visit. Go, it's amazing!

Really well displayed museum, with an excellent curator. Definitely worth a visit. English language is extremely well catered for, and there are some great exhibits, from the evolution of the cannon, to a great display on the Somme.

this museum is something to see if you're into history and war craft ant artillery, its an amazing insight to the world wars and good fun, i would only recommend going for a short time, it did get a bit boring mainly because it lacked hands on experiences and to get you more involved like other museums.

Meeth, Thank you for your opinion. We have prefered to give more importance to the objects and let you touch them in reality, than to pay some video systems. Regards'
