Great stopover point for a Garden Route Trip
Really cool experience! One of those 'have to see in real life to appreciate it more' moments. Besides just taking a pic at the 'famous spot', you can also walk along the nature trails and just enjoy the scenery. It is quite windy there of course, so take a jacket with😉

    Southernmost Stroll
Beautiful, natural environment with a well kept walkway overlooking stunning views. A monument is situated on the southernmost point with an inscription in Afrikaans/English describing it as such. There is also a model of the African continent with 3D and colour features representative of the actual continent. Travel Tips: • Take a picture at the road sign indicating the offramp to the monument. It is full of stickera and makes a funky photo. • Take a rain coat on a cloudy day as you will get rained on from all diractions.

    Definite must
Beautiful area, well worth the drive. Deiving from Somerset west, the country side changed from rocky mountains, to rolling green hills to flat wetlands. The lighthouse is a must to visit, beautiful views from the top. Then take the boardwalk all the way to the southern most tip, walk it is much nicer than driving to the sign. Approx 1 km from the lighthouse. Feel the sea air on you in this undisturbed national park are.

    Unique experience
It was quite a long way from our base in Cape Town, but we felt we had to do this trip! Having visited before we were amazed to now find better signage and a huge map of Africa marking the spot. The lighthouse was closed.

    Beautiful experience
It has been on my bucket list for years and I finally made it. Many do this as a day trip from Cape Town, we decided to overnight in Arniston and explore the next morning. Good decision as it made our visit less rushed and gave us the opportunity to spend time, take photos and explore the lighthouse. The walkway has been well designed so that you can walk along the coastline for either a short or long distance, depending upon your level of mobility. Hardly anybody here, we mostly had the southern tip to ourselves. It is around 3 hours from Cape Town.

This is a special place to visit, dividing place between the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic. It is all very well presented at the actual spot together with a "map" of Africa

Much more than at Cape of Good Hope you have the feeling that you are at the end of the world. The sign might be not as iconic as the one at Cape of Good Hope, but this is the real cape, the most southern point of Africa. Here (or more precise 150 m east) the Indian and Atlantic Ocean meet.

Well worth a visit to see the point where two oceans meet. There is a marker indicating the spot, plus a huge map of Africa. If you continue on (away from the direction of the lighthouse) you also come across a shipwreck.
