Always call at Five risk locks when looking for a place to walk with friends . The cafe is really warm and friendly and the food is wonderful. The staff are always pleased to see you what ever time of year it is .

This tourist attraction is in walkable distance along the canal from my home. It’s a bottleneck for barges on the canal and is spitting distance from three rise locks. In busy times it is interesting to watch barges navigate the locks both up and down....More

Just wanted a relaxing breakfast and read about it. It’s quite close and the weather was fine so went along and had a very nice breakfast right on the canal. Nice friendly staff, good food and certainly felt relaxed. Certainly recommend

Really lovely place to visit ,canal lock keepers very friendly bunch ,and believe most of them are volunteers.They are doing a grand job keeping the locks operating .stout walking shoes are must as canal towpath is rough in places .Nice little cafe nearby ,well stocked...More

This is probably one of the wonders of the UK waterways. There were no boats in the locks but just looking at the engineering and seeing how the locks work is worth the visit. Only negative is there is a gentleman near the top lock...More

Yes up Park Road for approx 400 yards. Climb the hill and turn left at the crossroads on Beck Lane , carry on to a mini roundabout and park somewhere there. The locks is down a short road for about 50 yards
