There are suppose to be seven different falls at this location due to which it is also called the seven sister falls however there was very less water in the falls and we could hardly see 2-3 of the falls. We viewed these falls from both the Eco park from where you can see it’s origins and from view points from where they were hardly visible due to clouds all around. Other falls have far more water in them as compared to these falls.

When we reached the site we were disappointed with the fog with no view of the falls. We decided to take a walk around and come back. By that time the fog had lifted and we could see a range of these falls. It was not monsoon but we were lucky with rains when we visited ML. A must only if u visit during monsoon and if it rains. And oh yes dont miss the Bangladesh view from top !

It was quite misty the day we went to see these falls. A little patience and, the fog lifted, and we were rewarded with a most amazing sight of these seven beautiful falls, almost strung together like a necklace. Beautiful sight!

In early November, only three thin streams of falls were visible from the view point. Not worth a visit after monsoon is over.

The sisters do not like each other as they seldom move together. If you are on a tight schedule and the trip is not during the monsoon you may as well skip this.

I wii be travelling to meghalaya on april 12th, will it be worth visiting, will be travelling from shillong to cherrapunji and back, what r the places to visit in april

Each month in Meghalaya is worth visiting, with different places to focus every season. Majority of the waterfalls may be scanty but some major ones like Nohkalikai, Dainthlen, etc shall still have decent flow. The 3 km trek to Double Decker root bridge can also be done, followed by 2 km trek to Rainbow falls after night stay at Nongriat village (rainforest).
Dawki river, Krangsuri falls can be covered in a day.

I want to do noh-kahlikai waterfalls trek. I want to go from Guwahati directly and want to return on same day. Is that possible? Pls suggest with approximate budget.

Hi Amish, you need at least two days for this. Guwahati to noh kali khai itself will take half day if you start around 6am (excluding trekking). Whats the point going so far and not spending the time gazing at one of the most beautiful waterfall. The view is not always clear specially around monsoons when the fall looks amazing. Better have 2 days in hand.

Is it okay to visit cheerapunjee in the month of june

June is a month of heavy rainfalls. Even if it is not raining and if it being cloudy then you won’t be able to see the valley, view points. If it is sunny then you are on a roll. Check out what the weather says for those days.

I will be visiting cherrapunjee in Feb'18. Can anyone let me know if there will be water in the amazing waterfalls there at that time?

Water definitely will be there but not as much as in rainy season. It's a matter of good luck, if there is some rain during that time which is not very uncommon. Other than the falls, there are many more places to explore, like the cave and the entire ambience of cherrapunjee, so nothing to be disappointed. Happy journey

What are timings to visit this place? First and last entry?

No timings. It's on the way from Cheerapunjee to Bangladesh Border. So you can just stop on the way and enjoy the scenery. No entry fee but there will be some parking fee. There are local shops which are open from morning till evening.

I suggest you can consider Sreesarka review as she mentioned maximum places near that region.
Also advise you if you reply want to visit living root brige then keep two day in your hand extra, because it cover 3500 step down and up in the hill. Spent one night near Living root bridge because it will tiring for you to climb again 3500 step to come back. It will definitely a memorable trip for you. More Scenic beauty is depend on when you will going to visit those places.
