The 7 sisters do not like each other
Sep 2021 • Friends
The sisters do not like each other as they seldom move together. If you are on a tight schedule and the trip is not during the monsoon you may as well skip this.

Invisible sisters

Best time to visit this place is during monsoon time...as one will be able to see all the seven falls flowing down together in its full fury...
There is no entry fees...but they would charge you 50 bucks for parking 🅿

Mesmerizing Waterfalls !
Oct 2019
The Nohsngithiang Falls, located at a distance of about 4km from Sohra City, is one of the tallest waterfalls in India and a major tourist spot in Sohra.. Since it is situated in the Mawsmai village of the East Khasi Hills District of Meghalaya, it is also known as Mawsmai Falls. The Waterfalls has a height of about 1040 feet, segmented into seven different sections, giving it ” Seven Sister Waterfalls” name.
This waterfall is seasonal and plunges over the limestone covered hills only during the rainy season. Number of visitors at tis spot increases multifold during monsoon.
The scintillating waterfall cannot be entered into but creates a spectacular viewpoint to view the surrounding beauty of Mawsmai. The beauty of the Falls is indescribable during sunset when the rays of the sun fall on it creating a perennial rainbow

Not suggested to visit this time. We could only see a single thin sister! Best to visit during monsoon.

Secen Sisters falls
Jan 2020
Visit there only in Rainy season, otherwise, the water is so little, that you will not able to find all 7 falls. The area is nice, but not worthy. Though there was no entry fee, but they charged 50/- as parking.

The view point for 7 sister falls offers splendid views. Lots of eating options. Bangladesh territory is also visible from here.

Not in December

You can avoid if you are visiting in winter. In a rainy season the falls would have been spectacular. No water at all. Parking is not a problem.

More the rains, better the viewing. The vast expanse of openness towards Bangladesh, is inviting. Locals are there to help with binoculars for distant viewing towards Shyllet in Bangladesh. Car parking is no problem. The spot require about 15 minutes to provide comfort stay. Area is safe.
