This lake is home for Sangai an endangered deer species. A freshwater lake otherwise clean but with lots of floating weeds. The lake is best enjoyed from the Sendra resort. In Manipur it is a must visit.

No problems in visiting Loktak lake in monsoon time. You can stay in one of the cottages there and have a good time. All cottages have balconies from where you can have a spectacular view of the lake and surrounding places.
