We were lucky with the weather and headed up on a cold but sunny day. It had snowed the day before (in late May!) and the air was crisp and clean. The walk up is very well maintained with steps to cover all the tricky...More

Quick climb up for a great view of surrounding area and icebergs. Stairs look steep from the bottom but you can be at the top in 20min. We only walked up and back down, not the surrounding trail.

Seems like a daunting climb, but isn't too strenuous. The top shows a map of the four corners of the earth.

Light hike, supported with stairs on many of the steeper parts. I loved it, though it's not long, it's full of wonder from the top! Amazing way to get the blood pumping after long flights to get here!

Great walk , very steep in places but with lovely views to look at while you catch your breath. The local park workers were installing chain hand rails over the steepest and narrowest part of the trail the day we were there. When they are complete...More

Declared one of the four corners of the Flat Earth, Brimstone is a bit of a hike. The distance is not long, 1 km round trip but it is mostly uphill, better yet up a moderately steep granite promontory in Fogo. It is however well...More

This hill gives you incredible views, and is pretty much across the way from the Lions Den trail. It's a bit dangerous and several steep sections so you need to be in fairly good shape and agile. Be sure not to get stuck up there...More

We stayed in the camping ground below Brimstone Head for 2 nights and did the trail one morning. Its relatively easy going across boardwalks, moss covered rocks and steps up onto the headland. The views across the town of Fogo and out over the North...More

I would think it's still quite beautiful - however be sure to wear ICE CLEATS and very warm wind proof clothing, and maybe hiking poles as it's quite steep in places. But the view is breath taking any time of year for sure!
