Excellent collection of extinct birds stuffed and not very well maintained so hurry and visit soon before the collection decays!
Rest all is Ok [Maybe I have seen /visited many archeological museums and find them repeating monotonous!]

We checked it out almost by accident, because it is just opposite the fort's entrance and our guide had said there was some beautiful stuff. It was true.
The museum has recently put out quite a lot of information signs (a bit confusing at first as it goes three by three) and it puts into context the wealth of archeological discoveries still being made around the area.
I know there is a larger museum but don't dismiss this one. Especially if you are short of time, this is a worthwhile sample of what the region has to offer.

This is a clueless cousin of the other museum outside the fort. They don't allow 'photography' here - phew! There are no guides, no stories, just salvaged sculptures. Go here if you have nothing else to do.

Gujari mahal is situated inside to the Gwalior fort, even bird eye view can be seen from the gwalior fort itself. GujariMahal is a monument to the love of Raja MansinghTomar for his intrepid Gujar queen, Mrignani.

Nothing to comment as it was locked even on a Wednesday although the declared holiday is Monday! The museum is only possible if you plan your entry to the fort from Urwai gate and your exit from the North gate!

It was originally palace of non warrior queen of the king. Since she belonged from non warrior caste she preferred to stay away from other queens who stayed in fort. She gave birth to first child of the king. She used to accompany the king in hunting and war and she died with king in one of the wars. Now the entire palace has been converted in museum. It's an must visit place and is close to tansens tomb.

The Gwalior Fort Museum used to be the Queens Palace. It showcases some nice pieces ; I especially liked a portico. For some strange reason you can photograph them, but not take selfies . . . not that I would.

Under renovation and is in terrible condition as on October 2018. Considering the work to be done, should be renovated not before Jan 2019. Till then it is definitely a skip.
