The fort is a measure of the grandeur of royalty here.not very well kept..Awful restoration done by ASI... Offers a good view of the city..Nice water storage baolis.. Couples coochi cooing in abundance here. Architecture wise Gud.cool n well ventilated interiors. Must have been grand in its heydays but shabby maintenance now makes it a sore point. Light and sound... More

The best place to be on a night in Gwalior. Sit down near the So called suicide point and you can look at the complete Gwalior city which looks magnificent. Carry your own snacks and drinks ( be responsible and have soft drinks ) . Please try to visit during monsoons and rains, you will fell in love with this... More

This is one of the India biggest fort. There are lots of thing to see in fort. Architecture of the fort is too good. There are lots of bats in the fort. There are also light and sound program in fort in evening time which is too good.

We drove from Agra to Gwalior in about 4 hours. Your driver has to pay district taxes along the way. The fort is an impressive piece that dominates tge town , sitting a top the mountain over looking Gwalior. Go early as it is very hot and be prepared to pay twice. Gwalior fort is certainly one of the most beautiful historical and architectural marvels in India. The historic monument is a huge fortress enveloping six palaces, three temples, and several water tanks. Man Singh Palace is the main palace. This is a beautiful fort on the hills. On the way of this fort there are many Jainism Mountainous Idols you can see. I fell in love with the paintings on the walls of the fort.

If any is visiting Gwalior, then Gwalior Fort is a Must see destination. You need to spend minimum 3 hours to cover the entire fort and an additional hour to visit the Gurudwara.
