You can visit once if you are in Gwalior. Will not suggest to go specially to see the fort. Fort is good however it need maintenance.

I visited this again after 12 years and the place and its grandeur still mesmerizes. Especially the sahastra bahu temple and the view from top where one can see the whole gwalior and the history of man singh place ....was all very refreshing and exciting.

You can ask in the entry gate that you can take you parents inside through motor or not. Because i went by walking as the don't permit to take vehicle. May be it can be allowed in some cases

It takes 15 mins from Gwalior junction and will take 2 hours to loom around and other monuments near by....light n sound show just begins after fall of day...
