- JimCha-am, Thailand6 contributionsPleasant 1km walkway trail with boat rideThis was a great experience with our 2 and 4 year old. We went on a Monday morning so the trail was very quiet. We enjoyed the 1km long walkway trail and boat ride that is available halfway around (we asked for a 30 minute ride instead of the listed 45 minutes). There is a visitor center, shops and toilets opposite the trail entrance.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 16 October 2023
- Vickyo82Chippenham, United Kingdom20 contributionsBeautiful mangrove forest with lots of wildlifeFirst trip to a mangrove forest for us and well worth the visit. We all enjoyed walking along the board walk path and took our pushchair. We saw lots of wildlife including crabs, fish, birds, a mudskipper and a monitor lizard! Boat trip was so lovely seeing the river and local area from the water. The forest was stunning and unlike anything we have in the UK. Would highly recommend!!Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 24 October 2023
- CanadianWorldTravellerHong Kong, China176 contributionsHidden GemIt is a very pleasant walk in the mangrove with our children. Entrance is free. There are trees and birds, and you can see crabs along the way. Midway, there is a boat available to take you on the river. The cost is THB 450 for 1-4 people or THB 500 for 5 people and up if you wish to hire the entire boat. It is not too far from the town and doesn’t require much energy.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 25 October 2023
- Anand D NanavatiVadodara, India420 contributionsVery pleasant park.Very pleasant as surrounded by trees. Its a beautiful place but the day we went the boat ride was closed. i suppose only when there is enough water this would be available. At one place where entry was closed we watched the great monitor lizard up close as it came out and walked in front of us to the closed area of board walk. We had a wonderful time, good memories and good photos here.Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 14 December 2023
- PathanedAlphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands43 contributionsabsolutely recommendedWe were here less than a 30-minute drive from Hua Hin by car. The park is very clean and has a small shop where you can get food and drinks. There is plenty of parking available and it is free. There is also a beach within walking distance of the park. the park itself is a new experience for me. It seems like you are really walking in another world. It is not too hot on the walking path, so you can walk comfortably. In between there is a shop where you can buy any drink, but you are not allowed to bring in your own food and drinks. It is absolutely recommended. It's good to spend an hour or two.Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 16 March 2024

In August we were able to enjoy the circular walk alone. There were no other tourists. From Hua Hin we took a taxi (800 baht, there and back - without negotiating, it would probably be cheaper) and arrived after about 20 minutes. The circular walk is free and you walk for about 40 minutes, taking photos and looking around. The path is NOT wheelchair accessible. There is a boat dock, which was closed when we were there because the river had almost no water. There is also a viewing platform. Please watch where you step, there are holes and rotten planks. The only animals we saw were crabs and birds. Unfortunately the explanatory signs are not in English. The path is very beautiful and very suitable for a short trip. But pack water bottles and don't forget to drink!

The national park (free) is a marvel.
Beautifully well maintained, all areas are immaculately clean.
The course in the mangrove is a real treat.
The mangrove has been fitted out with a wooden walkway that winds through the middle of the different species of trees.
One hour in small steps is enough to complete the complete loop.
I recommend the boat trip which will be offered to you ⅔ of the way (you will inevitably come across it).
The river ride of approximately 45 minutes will take you to the mouth of the Gulf of Thailand.
You will discover the "backstage" of a huge fishing port where thousands of imposing fishing boats are parked.
Unquestionably the visit of Pran Buri Mangrove Forest justifies the trip.

Don’t go by car! Sign just in front of bridge that leads into the Park read “Dangerous Bridge”, they weren’t kidding (see picture). Bridge rotten with rust. If you’re going go by boat.

I enjoyed the walk through the mangroves which was set up with the help of the Princess Royal. You get to it via a long-tail boat trip past the huge fleet of fishing vessels on the Pranburi river. There is a safe walkway with illustrated information signs at intervals. Unfortunately these signs were written only in Thai so of little value to Westerners like me. I thought they could have made the walk more interesting by giving more biological information about the flora and fauna.

I would highly recommend this place as it has got beautiful mangrove swamps. There is a walking path around the forest. In between, there is also a river ride which you have to pay if you are interested. There is also a beautiful beach behind the parking area. You need to walk 500-700 m to reach the beach.

Lovely shady walk on an excellent robust raised walkway through the mangrove swamps. Lots of info about the different flora as you pass ( although all in ภาษาไทน). About 1 km. Ok for a wheelchair but narrowed in places where the occasional tree has been allowed to grow through the floor slats.
Opportunity to take a 45 minute long boat trip to the fishing village at the river mouth. Take it! Costed 450 baht amd well worth it.
