Cala Xarraca is one of the beaches located in the surroundings of Portinatx, a little town in Ibiza Island. I came here in January, so I only came here to walk around the beach, see the views of the sea and relax a bit. It is a sand beach located near a big house, where you can arrive by car (I suppose that in summer, the parking should be full all day) and go directly to the beach. In low season, it is a quite and relaxing place. Not more.

This beach and cove has some nice rocks in the sea that you can jump off. See photos. Restaurants and umbrellas. Calm waters.

Beautiful beach, loved it so much. Unfortunately there was no bus so we took a taxi (public transport is really bad in Ibiza). We had seen that there was a swing on Instagram but it has been removed, sadly. Still there were beautiful photo spots, a quite impressive orange house, beautiful water color and water was not so cold because the sand is quite dark (so it gets very warm too, take flip flops with you).

A pretty cove with one restaurant. Busy on a Sunday. You can drive right down to the beach but parking gets very busy. No beach facilities apart from the restaurant. Need to bring your own beach equipment.

A place nice to go if the water is calm, but as any others at the island . Either way, it was a worker there who was treating people in a disgusting way, telling to go to the parking to have a fight, and the only reason was to have the towel somewhere where he didn't want (no signs or whatever). He was unrespectful with everyone going without a mask and telling people to get closer to strangers. Oh Covid... Is he working with you? We had to leave the place because of him. I wouldnt recommend being near anywhere around him. Bye bye Xarranca.

Really aggressive and unhelpful staff in restaurant and on sun beds. Dreadful experience, made to feel really uncomfortable, would not recommend.

Lovely secluded beach which promises some great views and relaxing moments. There is parking lot and restaurant available. The reasons I am giving it 'only' three stars:
- Even though the beach is sand, towards the sea it gets crowded with rocks, making it less attractive for paddling and swimming.
- Be cautious of the small purple jellyfish called 'mauve stingers'.
- I would say that Cala Xarraca is not family-friendly, as it was very serene and everyone present was sunbathing peacefully. This basically means that I did not feel very at ease with my 11-month year old baby, which was shrieking every now and then. With kids I would recommend to visit the bigger beaches.
