My wife and I were looking for an intimate tour of local flora and fauna. This adventure. Young Brandon had a great mastery of English and of the wildlife around the lodge. We were able to watch two and three toed sloths in the surrounding. Granted sloth watching is not, by nature, an exciting pastime. Two of the females had... More

This is a beautiful place. We had a knowledgeable guide who made us realise how proud the Costa Rican people are of the work they do to preserve their environment. The highlight was the frogs and butterflies. We didn't really see sloths as they are high up in the trees. It rained heavily during our visit so take waterproof shoes... More

I'm not much of a plant lover but when everything was explained by Jesus our very knowledgeable guide I fell in love and wished I had a bit of Jesus enthusiasm and love for nature.Even though it's a small place it had so much to offer. We saw monkeys humming birds frogs etc.At the end of the tour we sat at... We hired a private minibus for our group of 6 and stopped here among other places for a tour. Although smaller than expected we saw a couple of sloths (high up in trees) red eyed tree frogs, blue jean frogs and lots of other butterflies etc. lovely little place.

We booked a day trip to both the dry forest & rainforest to enable us to see as much of the wildlife as possible in one day - this review covers the rainforest part. The trip was arranged via email from the UK with a company called "Alex on the beach", we knew only that we would very 2+ hours... More

What's not to love about this lovely place. If you are looking for a an outdoor tour ,this is the place to visit. From the beginning we were greeted with a smile by everyone and Jorge our tour guide is amazing! Having someone as knowledgeable give us the tour was the best part. My husband and I were there with... More

This place is fantastic. I was so desperate to see sloths, the red eyed tree frog and the red dart frog. It did not disappoint. We saw Maria the sloth within a few minutes of starting the tour and she was beautiful. She was moving, easy to capture on video and just incredible to watch. During the rest of our... More

We travelled to Villa Verde (as referred to by Thomson) at the last minute after they cancelled another trip we'd booked. Needless to say we weren't in the best of spirits when we set off but that soon changed! This is an amazing place, we saw so much on our walk around the rainforest and Freddy was an excellent guide.... More

We been in Costa Rica for 12 days and only found out about this place by chance so booked it last minute. What a lovely surprise it was. The farm is lovely and very quaint, the nature and location was beautiful. We went as a group of 20 with a touring company. On arrival we saw a baby sloth and... More

Our hotel guy said we could stop here to see a sloth on our way out of Bijagua. Since we didn't have enough time to do a full tour, he called him ahead of time and told us to just give him a couple of bucks to see it. We got charged $5 per person to see one sloth way... More
