We used this boardwalk at night only and found there to be enough people using it as well to feel safe. Normally, we would be on a reggae bus to be let off at Blakeys and then walk to Rockley Beach. Lovely

Perhaps I have been spoiled from where I have been living in the past (ie: Ottawa Canada's canal system, even Mozambique's Marginal, and Durban South Africa's boardwalk all seem endless) so at 1.5kms long it doesn't seem to cut it and although it has nice...More

South coast of Barbados has beautiful beaches. Clean and clear water. Beautiful soft sand. Barbados is a wonderful island.

Staying at Hastings, decided to follow the board walk, passing beautiful beaches, rocky coastal areas where the scurrying crabs are a delight to watch. Easy to stop off at a beach bar for coffee or beer before a swim on Rockley beach

Great place for an early morning or evening walk. Ideal for people to keep fit. Few places to stop and have a drink but there are a lot of derelict buildings along the way

A nice walk along the beach, great at anytime of day but particularly in the evenings. Well maintained, situated alongside the the bars and restaurants.

The Boardwalk has been beautifully done, thoughtfully constructed and generally very well maintained. Running along beside the crystal-clear, calm, blue waters of the South coast, it is a pleasure to traverse. Just one word of caution to tourists: this is a daylight-only spot. Avoid at...More

Boardwalk is a nice place to spend for friends, family or couples. Amazingly quiet as you walk along the splashing tides, great restaurants or in the shining moonlight. Got my first true love kiss there in Barbados.

As the last answer said, it is about a 10 minute drive, or 50 minute walk, 3.9km. In the Barbados heat, I would recommend you drive or if no car, get a white van or government bus, both very cheap, either drops you off at... More

I would say it was a fair old walk to be honest especially in that heat. Get a diddly diddly bus and get off at Artsplash cafe. It starts around there.

If you're here for a cruise limited amount of time, I would skip this for sure. If you want my opinion, get yourself up to Animal Flower Cave the northern most part of Barbados it's the most beautiful place on the island in... More
