Been here a few times when I was in my high school years. Used to come here with friends for a day of bonding. Just recently, we went to visit with family and just got amazed of how they were able to take care and develop the place. The 1km walk full of mangroves around you was just amazing. Beautiful,... First of all, if you're expecting something like Yosemite or Waimea Canton, you're going to be disappointed. The wonderful part of the Bakhawan Park is the charm and peacefulness. It's a great respite from the busy main town and it's especially awesome to be in a real mangrove forest. In this day and age, most mangrove forests are deteriorating and... More

The only reason why I went to this park were the amazing reviews online... Well, I don't know what they're raving about, I was so disappointed. 150 PHP for entrance and then you just walk a boardwalk for 1km until you reach a little area where you can sit down, watch the view. They call it "open bar" but not... More

This Eco-park is located at the farthest part of the town. Far from the tricycles and vehicles or smokes. I considered this place refreshing because it's very rare for me to get this kind of chills. Plus, the air is fresh. The ambiance is great. The people are friendly. In every path, you will always see green. Lots of greens.... More

Definitely recommending this to everyone visiting Kalibo. Especially for nature lovers and those who appreciate the effort of man in restoring nature. Do go kayaking in the mouth of Aklan river.

Picking the last day on our trip to visit this place prooved to be very worthwhile. Walking thru the manmade mangrove forest on the 1 km. boardwalk helped to ease our minds, bodies and souls, as if cleansing all the tiredness and replacing it with a relaxing vibe. The leisurely walk with music from the crickets and the birds, the... More
