Outside of Altea but worth a visit

This beautiful church and grounds are just off the N332 near Altea in the Hilla. It is open to visit but dress code applies if going inside. Enjoyed visiting.

Beautiful Church near Altea Hills, although when I went there it was a little bit left alone... so it was strange to enter in a place completely empty of people in the middle of "nada"... the garden is precious, and pets are not allowed...

The church is lovely. Everyone speaks Russian in it. It is a church at the end of the day where people come to pray not a sight seen as sort. If you want to get in to church you have to cover your feet and arms if wearing shorts or shirt, the covers are provided. Lovely place.

We came across it almost by accident. Nevertheless it is very pretty and well maintained and worth a visit, if not to know a different culture, at least to look at a beautiful wooden church. Worth a stop.

Definitely worth a visit, topped in blue, bells ringing and free to look around. Set at the top of the Beautiful old town of Altea. Surrounded by bars and restaurants and entertainers and market stalls. Plenty to do. Beware if you are not good at walking steep slopes though.

Often I visit Altea, La Ola. So I have to drive on my way from Calpe to Altea. I see this Russian Church on the right sight wenn I come from Calpe. This building is only from wood. Never I see such a Building. It is the entry of Altea hills. Here are living most of russian people of Costa... More

In 2012 we visited the grounds, the church (an exact replica of a 17th century Russian church) was not open to public, we could have a walk-around (now open from 10-14 week days). Still very outworldish in these parts of the world - word goes the "owners' mother and son missed a spot to practise their belief and so build... More

Small orthodox church in the middle of coastal towns.. We found out almost by mistake and decided to stop to have a look. It happened to be beautiful and special.

This church is an eyesore on the side of the highway to Calpe. Totally misplaced but beautiful in it's own right but not suited for Spanish countryside.
