A must see place, just like some of the other historic places in the town. Your will see the castle from the earlier day upto the end of the second World War. A great culture site

Fantastic building, shame it was closed for repairs, but it's a good way to explore the town, it leads you around the harbour and back to a square which off shoots leading you to other sites like Hippocrates Tree.

Had a walk around Kos Town. Saw the church that had been damaged by their recent Earthquake and tremors. There is so much history in such a small town. Well worth a visit

Very nice trip and some good places to eat and walk, however a lot of places were on a lock down post earthquake so could see much of history in a lot of places.

The history in this place is none stop. From ancient roads to ancient markets or is very interesting and only a few minutes walk from the shops and bars of Kos town.

Sadly you are not allowed inside or on the walls of the Castle due to the recent earthquake damage but you can still walk around the outside harbour area and get some great pictures.

Kos council has cleared debris in Kos town where major damage occurred an has barriers sound anything deemed to be a risk. Feels perfectly safe as they have shut off any attraction they believe needs restoration.

The castle is still closed and we were told yesterday it could be some time before it will be open again. Also it is not possible at present due to damage of the quay around the castle to walk around the complete outer wall. More
