Great area for a stroll between oberau and Niederau. Look out for the trout in the river as you go, even when there is almost no water in there, and the statues are interesting.

Used much more in the summer as a novel way of travelling up and down the valley but it does run in the winter

We walked from Muehltal through the gorge and back to the rest stop. The Bummelzug was a welcome sight taking us back to the village (it is all uphill).
