We had heard about Tulian lake trek as a must do thing when in Pahalgam and we are delighted to say that we can't agree more. Trek to Tulian lake was rewarding with not just the wonderful views that it offered but also due to the hospitality of High hills trek team. We did a 2 days 1 night camping with them. At the time we trekked, it was just our tent in the vicinity and hence it felt like a magical experience. Tulian lakes' magical colours became alive in the morning that left us awestruck.

We started our trek with Sabzar bhai & his team Riyaaz bhai , Manzoor bhai on the note 'the most beautiful views come after the hardest climb'. For us, it was not just an enthralling experience but also a learning experience , how this entire trek involved so much meticulous planning from High Hills trek. Ensuring that we eat fruits during those mini breaks, arranging for raincoats, cooking finger licking food in the middle of nowhere during our stay at the base camp, having enough warm blankets and frequently sipping tea, coffee, kehwa felt like a luxury and we were in awe to be at the receiving end of such hospitality.

Arrangements of bonfire, providing torchlight during the night & cool night breeze really felt that there is so little one needs to be happy in life.

We highly recommend highhills trek for they take care of each and everything during your trek. Price may initially feel to be on a higher side but every penny spent is worth the experience. One just needs to soak in the beauty around & enjoy what comes next in each and every moment of your trekking experience!

We did the 16 Km trek - partly on horses and mainly on foot. From Pahalgam to Tulian Lake Up and down - took us close to 9 hours. 8 AM to 5 PM. It is treacherous. The guide - Sabzar Rather - from HighHill Trek and Tours - and the two pony guys helped us a lot - lugging the excess up to the lake. The sight of the lake and the stream of water flowing down - helps you melt out the tiredness. A must for everyone. Note : take raincoat, and wear trekking shoes. the last 2 kms is all rocky and cannot be done with the best of the sport shoes. Keep water bottle and plenty of food to eat.

It was my Solo trip. Destination- Pahalgam, Tulian Lake.

The trek was led by Subzar from High Hills Trek and Tours.

Right from organising the trek and ensuring that I ws motivated at all times ( dur yo the steep climb), Subzar managed it all

Lunch and apples were provided enroute as energy boosters

The base camp for Tulian was carefully selected, ( food non veg included) was out of the world.

The arrangement was perfect. No room for error.

This was my 2nd time with High Hills Trek and Tours and all I can say is that they are getting better.

ONE DAY TULIAN LAKE TREK
we started our trek towards Tulian Lake at 12:05pm from Pahalgam. We reached Tulian Valley at 3:30 where some trekers suggest us to stay in valley and continue from tomorrow as it is too late and we have to cross highest steap of the trip but my friends turn off their suggestion and we continue our trek towards lake.In between some trekkers (local and outsiders) also suggest us to stay in valley but we also turn off their advices and continue. Finally we reached Tulian Lake at 5:00pm.We stay their for an hour.
It was near about 6:15pm we decided to return towards Tulian valley. In between the way from lake to valley we decided to touch Pahalgam within 2-3 hours instead of camping in Tulain valley and our plan works, we came to see Pahalgam at 10:15pm thereafter having dinner we started our journey towards Srinagar during night and we finally reached Srinagar at 2am.
It was a little bit risky experience but we did it very smoothly.
The Valley and Lake are among beautiful places for trekking where we should must visit.
We cover alost 30kms return distance within 10hrs and make it an ADVENTUROUS TRIP...

Tulian Lake Trekking : It's the toughest single day trek i ever had till date, we started at 8'oclock in the morning from Pahalgam - Valley of Shepherds elevation 8000 feet and trekked continuously to the elevation 12000 feet in afternoon, vision blurred in mid way, body was completely exhausted reached to the lake by 3:30 afternoon and after having our lunch and food trekked back till 11:30 in night, after 8 pm, night trekking took our every bit of energy, but some how we walked to save our-self from d Jungle and creatures with all wet body and perspiration reached back to pahalgam. completed 2 days trek in just one day. Thanks to the almighty we reached alive having beautiful memories.
