There is absolutely nothing at this point it is just created to exploit customers to charge more. One Can enjoy greenery around the hills, suitable for picnic with some games
The only plus point is you are charges heavily for a one hour horse ride

horse ride is a complete scam, charged us INR 11,000 for 3 for all made up points with nothing that can be described beautiful.
Only place worth visiting is Mini Switzerland, best way is to take a car upto a point which is away from Horse/Taxi stand scam site, and walk about 20 minutes to reach Mini Switzerland site.
In summary, i would say entire Pahalgam site is a scam, avoid going there unless travelling by own vehicle.
All taxi drivers will fool you while taking you to Betab valley ( only good place worth visiting) , chandanwari (which is nothing), Aru valley (very dirty), by saying that different taxi's go there due to union involvement which is absurd scam, there's nobody to check who is going where, private cars or cars of any sort can go there, they will then call there family/friend driver to charge you additional 2500 INR to take you to these three site.
I would recommend going to Betab valley only, and do a 3 hours walk or picnic, leave the rest.

Nothing much to boast about this valley. The local tour operators and pony wallas (horse folks) take you for a ride with the pricing for the sight seeing at this and multiple other points. Not worth it even If you bargain hard and negotiate well and get a great deal. Please avoid and save money.

The Pahalgam horse riding is run by cheats and frauds. They take you for a ride the moment you start discussing. The option was agreed with the hotel for INR 1100 for each horse. The owners person Arif agreed on the amount at the hotel and then when he reached the horse riding starting point he showed a rate card with INR 1250 for option #1 with Baisaran (mini Switzerland), Kashmir valley, Dubyan. And even mentioned that this does not include the mini Switzerland. Then pushed for water fall which is just a stream under a wooden bridge. The entire ride took 4 hours with 2 guides and the rate changed to INR 2000 per horse so INR 6000 for 3 hours for apparently 6 points + 1 free which was never done, fooled by Arif ! And it was the worst horse ride ever with the minute it started, the horse handler Bashir kept complaining how the owner gets all the money and they get only INR 200 per day. They first stopped at the waterfall/stream where we could get down for 5-10mins, and the almost an hour later at Baisaran/Dubyan/Kashmir valley which are basically the same point. And the route and horses were terrible, with bad paths, mud and steep climbs and drops, with the leadhorse constantly going the wrong way with the rider having to correct it. We were on the horses most of the 4 hours with only once getting off the horse at Baisaran for snacks. For my wife and 6 year old son it was a terrible, painful experience. And they suffered a lot rather than enjoying the ride. Suggestion is to negotiate up front, agree on only 2-3 points , ideally option #1 which covers everything, and go with it despite constant pestering by the horse owners agent Arif. He looked like a teenager or atmost in early 20s. Was very convincing but when we confronted him for cheating us the next day, he first refused, then agreed to pay back one horses rate of INR 2000 when confronted by the hotel staff and us. Then he got someone else to call us saying we must pay some rate of INR 2750 per horse and then they would refund something. Eventually with the help of locals we went to the Pahalgam police who were extremely helpful. They summoned Arif who arrived with 5-6 people and again lied, claimed to taken us to 6-7 points. Finally with the help of the local police we managed to get a refund of INR 1000, on a total payment of INR 6000 for 3 horses. We even tipped the horse handlers INR 400 for their hard work. But have never been cheated like this before or suffered during a vacation. Is very disappointed, cheated, will never go back and will never recommend anyone to take this horse rides. We wasted almost half a day the day of the ride and the 2day again to resolve this mess and this nonsense.

It is enroute to Baisaran and is not interesting at all. Just keep in mind that Baisaran or Mini Switzerland is main point to cover which is everthing. Pony will try to confuse you saying all these points which are nothing.

This comes on the way to mini Switzerland. Pony ride is the only way to visit this place. The rates of pony rides are fixed but you can try your luck bargaining.

In Pahalgam if your visiting in Jan or Feb months, it is off season>>> And for Pony ride which goes 2 all six places, which will take 3 to 4 hours and more if your stoping and taking pictures.. (never take PONY from outside of your HOTEL . THEY WILL TELL U, FIXED PRICE AND SHOW YOU BIG BOARD WITH EXPENSIVE PRICES .... JUST IGNORE THEM..
And go towards the market you will get other reliable pony owners who will charge as low as . Rs.1000 ONLY .
Contact Mr Waheed 0091-9906562417.. He is an amazing young man who will honestly take you 2 all the point at reasonable rate ..
