Due to various geographical reasons, water temperatures and easy access to food, this area has earned worldwide fame and recognition as the single most successful area to view the great white shark within a very shot period of time. In successful operation for 23 years, and established in 1992, White Shark Ventures were the founders and pioneers of shark cage diving in Gansbaai. Our tours are not only highly educational, but we also actively participate in documenting valuable research information on great white sharks, which is forwarded to Marine & Coastal Management Research and various Marine Biologists world-wide. Our directors and employees are passionate about conservation and rehabilitation of all wildlife species, more which can be seen on our website. Our company were the founders of the Great White Shark Protection Foundation, a body dedicated to the protection and preservation of the great white shark globally. Our tour includes; Luxurious return road transfers from Cape Town; Light breakfast and hot beverages offered upon arrival in Gansbaai; Snacks and drinks on-board; Educational information and safety briefing; Diving equipment and wet-suits available at no additional cost; Assisted cage diving for divers and snorkelers; Spectacular surface viewing for non divers; Hot lunch, beer and wine served upon return to shore; Stop over for land based whale watching in Hermanus (only when whales are spotted) Drop-off at Cape Town International Airport at no additional cost. The shark diving was really a unique experience. We loved it, although we thought that it would be more spectacular. In fact we were really lucky to really see the sharks, as some other boats out at the same time did not see any shark....More

Hi. Thank you for your review. Could you please advise the date of your shark diving tour as well as your name. I would like to respond but am unable to do so unless I know which day you went out. Many thanks Cindy Thornhill

Waste of my time - no sharks - boat way too packed. We spent 1,5 h on the boat. Saw no sharks. Went back to shore with no further trying. Used half of day for nothing.More

Guide (Vien) is very good and attentive. Making sure all safety were brief and making sure all divers are comfortable. I trust Vien for his professionalism. Worth every penny. Plus his 2 hours driving skill from Cape Town to harbor was excellent.

Hi, Your website states that you guys use either snorkels or SCUBA gear while in the cage. However, looking through various photos from your boat this doesn't seem to be the case. Can you confirm that you do use them? It seems that most of the cage diving operators don't use either snorkels or SCUBA which doesn't make sense to me as then surely you have to constantly keep coming back up for breath? If you guys don't use snorkels or SCUBA I'd be grateful if you could explain the reasons why and then I can stop trying to find a company that uses them! Many Thanks,
