This nine hole golf course with a links type lay-out is unique in that it is the southern most golf course in Africa. The fairways offer beautiful vistas of the sea and coupled with abundant plant, bird and wildlife, this course offers any player a good challenge. The clubhouse is at the heart of the club offering typical Gansbaai hospitality.

This is the most southerly golf club in Africa. It is a 9 hole course with different tees for the back 9. Buggies are available to hire. The course is interesting in that the fairways slope and so you must be careful where you ail. The Fairways were very dry but the greens were in very good condition. It is near to the sea and is quite breezy but fun to play. Look forward to playing there again

Was described affectionately to me as a goat track course but was pleasantly surprised to find and excellent challenging course of 9 holes, or 18 using different tees. The area was suffering from lack of rainfall and the fairways were a bit on the bare side. Tees and greens were watered and in good condition. Tried for another round on the Sunday at 3.30pm but, as we needed a pull trolley, we could not play as there was no way to return the trolley when we finished as they would be closed at 5pm. They are obviously not too bothered about having visitor fees to boost their finances.

Gansbaai has a lovely nine hole (links type) golf course. The scenic fairways offer views of the sea and Dyers Island. There is abundant bird and wild life. Fynbos completes the picture. The course is challenging and is set out for 19 holes. The clubhouse is cosy with a full bar and many happy hours are spent here in good company. The course is open seven days a week with competitions on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but there are also minor competitions on Fridays and Sundays. The gholf club telephone number is 0283841441.
