Much of Macau's non-casino tourist advertising surrounds these ruins... and for good reason. What's left of this church is impressive but the effort to recreate its history for visitors makes it worth a visit.

Macau is easily accessible from Hong Kong. There is a water jet that will take you to this peninsula just southeast of Hong Kong in just about an hour. There are many casinos in this former Portuguese colony and the city's European ambiance is evident. There is also an Asian atmosphere with its temples. The historic center of Macau is... More

I thought the ruins were pretty neat. Totally "instagram worthy". I visited twice, and both times it was very crowded. It was hard taking a decent picture without anyone (unintentionally) photobombing. Otherwise, it's a fun visit!

We got the free shuttle to the grand emperor hotel, and had a quick walk to the ruins. It was very busy streets, but you walk past some gorgeous old buildings that remind me more of Europe than China. Once at the ruins, there are some stairs to the top, but also a path up the side. Once at the... More

Even it's crowded, we manage to take so many pics... A history visit. Always seen it in movie.... but the real thing looks better. A short walk from Senado Square and plenty of restaurant nearby. Ruins of St. Paul is a must when you are in Macau

This is the very popular place, but for the elderly it will be far enough. From the Senado main enterance, you will walk about 2 km, cmiiw 😄but you can walk slowly and enjoy every scene and shop all around. Many shop but rarely restaurant, just eat before you came here 😋

This is a beautiful place to visit & have your photos taken. Unfortunately, it's always crowded with tourists. It was my 2nd visit in 6 years, and though it was less crowded this time compared to the previous trip, still, there were many people. There's a public toilet, coffee shops, plenty of souvenir stores, & a museum in the vicinity.... More

The Ruins are really worth a visit but also are a major tourist destination/attraction and therefore can be quite crowded at times which can be annoying. Visit in the early morning when it is still serene and cooler temperatures before the rush or early evening before the sun sets and the lights go on!
