In room very strong smoking smell makes me sick. I understand this hotel is for casino people but they can do better . This time I follow my husband for business trip.

Yes, newer and grander casinos have overshadowed this place, but Casino Lisboa is the birthplace of Macau's gambling industry. While the facade is full of colonial flair, interior is distinctively Chinese. The old-fashioned vibe of Macau's first casino is quite unparalleled in the city where competition is the norm. Even non-gamblers should come and take a look.

Really limited options here compared to just about every other casino I’ve been to in Macau. I know it’s an historically important hotel but, as nice as the casino looks, I’d head somewhere else.

I have never been to any casinos in my life before and never gamble. This casino was my first casino I visited while in Macau.

Before I was allowed to enter the casino, a bouncer requested an ID or passport from me. They just needed to ensure that I was more than 21 years old. Okay, should I take that as a compliment? Hehe

Oh there was no specific dress-code to go in, so that was kind of cool.

For a first-timer, I found it very interesting to see the scene, like exactly in a movie (except no action/fighting scenes hehe). I did not even understand how to play as they were written in Chinese characters.

Anyway it was a nice experience though.

During stay at this hotel, just made a short casino visit to see the gambling action. The casino is relatively small with relatively limited gambling options as compared to Grand Lisboa. However, the casino was crowded and active.

You do not see hotels like this surviving any more.Even though they put up the grand Lisboa( glass and steel) they left this gem alone. I have been frequenting this property for years and every time I come away with greater appreciation . 4 Michelin stars under one roof( including Grand Lisboa) connected by a tunnel. Beautiful views from its expansive windows. Walking distance to Yohan the dept store of high repute. Great many name brand shops. The rooms are very comfortable. The housekeeping is very adapt at doing its job. I think it would be a shame people coming in not experiencing the art, architure, of the first casino hotel of Macau. I love it

With it's brash sister across the avenue, Lisboa Casino harks back to the previous decades of resorts and gambling in the former colony. Less grand and airy than the newcomers, it has the solidity of a Grande-Dame with gleaming black marble and sparkling chandeliers evoking an earlier age.

Come and see the impressive jade carvings and homage to Chinese culture on the first floor, and like us, stay for lunch in the restaurant with its extensive Asian and Macanese menu.

Just went inside to check the action. BJ min bet was 200 HKD (second lowest in Macau after Pharaohs) , hardly two tables. Mostly Baccarat. Didn't know they had a casino in the top floors. Place was packed on the two times i went in (sat and Mon)

Grand lisboa is very colorful inside and especially outside. easily reachable by bus or by taxi or even by just walking. We did not gamble since we have kids with us when we traveled. We just went for picture taking.
