Dr. Sun Yat Sen Memorial House (free entry) is the 3rd attraction included on the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) sponsored 'An Experiment of Creativity' self-walking tour, which covers the interesting and less visited area around St. Lazarus District in Macau. The 'An Experiment of Creativity' starts at the Kun Iam Temple on Avenida do Coronel Mesquita before making way... More

So, after the lunch in McDonald's, we got on the bus and started to have a short trip. It is my first time to go to Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, it is not large but... More

This is a reconstructed house of Dr. Sun Yatsen in Macau (the original was destroyed in a fire). The house and grounds are a museum, and very informative concerning the life and deeds of Dr. Sun Yatsen, and his role in the establishment of the Republic of China. There is a statue of him in the rather austere courtyard. Admission... More

For years, I have been coming to this hallowed place. It was actually a place bought by local people to give the widow of Dr. Sun, our Father of The Nation at least some last comfort. There are precious collections of the Sun family. Some were things used by him personally. Visitors should see the sights of the National flags of... More

The house is a small museum displaying many historical pieces of Sun Yat-sen and Chinese revolution. Since I walked there from the Ruin of St.Paul Cathedral, it was a bit of a distance travel but the house itself is very beautiful and the item on displayed are interesting. The sign were also written in English, the staff however, wasn't seem... More

This is the house where Dr. Sun Yat-sen was a doctor in his early years in Macau. It was rebuilt with help from the Taiwanese government in the 1950s. It is worth it just to look at the architecture (done in a Moorish style) and the house is indeed very grand. The artifacts inside are rather limited (some articles of... More

There is mostly some old furniture as well as letters and pictures to see. You can learn a lot about Sun Yat-sen and the foundation of the Republic of China. It´s free. Go for an hour.

We visited this museum as we wanted to learn more about the founding father of China. It is less touristy than other places and is well worth a visit for those interested in history. Dr Sun was born in Zhongshan, not too far away from Macau, and this was where he lived and practised medicine while in Macau.

Dr Sun Yat Sen, the founder or driving force behind the Chinese republican revolution and the modernization of China in the early years of last century, lived in Macau for a 'short but significant time', as Macau information leaftlets state. This was his house and where he practised medicine (though apparently it is somewhat rebuilt as it was destroyed in... More
