It's like a little Portuguese haven, with nicely decorated garden pots. There's a museum of old Catholic as well as Chinese antiques next to it which is very well displayed. A coffee shop also is at the top but this is only for the local...More
It was a nice building with a lovely courtyard with azulejos! (Portuguese coloured tiles). They also have different exhibitions which are worth to enjoy to catch a glimpse of Macau history or culture. It is free to visit
It was a real treat for the senses to be here recently. The streets were swimming with joyful revellers last weekend and the atmosphere was electric.There were very distinctive photo opportunities in the softly lit night quarters and it seemed like a hazy, warm dream.
My recommendation, to go at night, the photo comes out better with the lights on the building and not many people, you can take as many as you like and post however you like. Too many people in the day time.
This streets are pretty and really well maintained, I loved the light in this streets that was really nice to do. Lots of tourists though, just follow the crowds and you will see pretty much Portugese cafe(s). You feel somehow that this is the backdoor...More
This was built way back in the latter part of the eighteenth century circa 1784.
It was in fact the first Municipal chamber for Macau. It is designed in neo classical style. everything about this building is beautiful. They don't make building like this anymore....More
