There is not much to see except the outside of the building. With heavy foreign design, it actually looks really nice for picture taking. There is nothing much on the interior but more of a resting place for tired tourists looking to use the bathroom.

Across the road from Senado Square is the Leal Senado (Municipal Council) Building, which was the seat of Portuguese Macau’s government (Legislative Assembly of Macau and Municipal Council of Macau). The building was erected in 1784, completely refurbished in 1904, damaged by a typhoon in 1936 and in 1999, after the handover of Macau to China, it became the headquarters... More

I found out that this place was really amazing to take photos especially at night where you could take photos of Leal Senado and Macau Post office on the opposite side. It could be crowded in the afternoon sometimes. I also walked inside to check what it was like. It was good but I thought I could just visit inside... More

Leal Senado is a location you won't miss in Macau. It's a location for taking selfies and family photos. A lot of retail shops around, modern and old restaurants. San Domingo's church is in the bend and the Macau Catholic Cathedral is nearby. It's pleasant to hang around during the cooler months from October to February. It's a place where... More

Not too many people find this little area interesting...but at night, try to angle your camera upwards. Youll see how darkness in the sky blends with the architecture and well lit area.

The Leal Senado building is the second stop on the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) sponsored self-walking tour called 'Footsteps in the Historic Centre'. This trail explores areas of the UNESCO World Heritage area as well as interesting historic and heritage areas nearby. This self-walking tour starts at Avenida da Praia Grande before making way north on Ave. Almeida Ribeiro... More

Pros: 1. There are traditional Portuguese tiles in the building, as well as a souvenir shop featuring goods inspired by these tiles. 2. There are art exhibitions held here. 3. There is a small garden. 4. If you climb up the stairs, there is a beautiful library as seen in travel brochures and guidebooks. Cons: 1. To my disappointment, I... More

“The Leal Senado Building”, It is opposite to the Senado Square. You can see a lot of visitors come here for shopping. It is the most prosperous place in Macau. I think it is a little old. it is the witness of the development of Macau. Enter the hall along the stairs, I can see that there are many paintings... More
