This museum is great for kids. So many interesting and engaging exhibits. Our 4 year old and 1.5 year old were fully engaged for 2+ hours. We didn’t pay extra for the playroom— the science room alone is like a playroom! Not to mention the super fun water exhibit. Would highly recommend for families.

This is a museum for kids but my husband and I both enjoyed it anyway. Unfortunately none of it is in English and that was a big disappointment. There are plenty of hands on activities for the kids so I would recommend it anyway.

Had a really good time at the Macau science center with my kids. There are fourteen stations with various scientific themes for you young children to explore. This is better suited for younger kids (<9 years old). The architecture of the building is also modern and sleek. Worth coming just to take a view of the building. Entrance fee is a affordable 25 mop. Well worth the money for spending a couple of hours during the afternoon.

They are undergoing renovation, so not all exhibits are available.
Good location, I hope they will come back with more activities and exhibits.

Provide ample chances and space for kids. My kid of 2.5y loves here. Well-managed, clean and the interactive games for kid are quite innovative. Can spend several hours here. Definitely will come back again!

Some portions are old and don't work well- but the simpler ones - like the construction site for preschoolers and the water play rooms and music room are all big hits for the little ones! We went early on a weekday and it was great until lots of other schools arrived and took over the place. The kids were kind but it was hard to enjoy all of the facilities with that many children in the same room. We rushed ahead to see the other rooms before they followed.

Went there with my girlfriend and friends, it was ok. The only good reason to go is with a kid, there are tons of kids attractions. If you don't have a kid, no reason to go.

There is a play area for kids when you first enter the gate. The fee is not much so is great if you have kids. The inside of the science center is very old alot of the activity is no longer working. it really need some update. As for kids they will still find way to have fun so no worry for that. I would still think is a ok place to visit if the weather is not too great outside.

So, the mistake was ours. That is, we failed to acknowledge that it was school holiday time before visiting the Macao Science Centre. If boisterous kids pushing in front of you and commandeering every exhibit is your thing, then you are going to love MSC during school holidays. It was nothing short of mayhem.

The good thing, of course, was that hopefully a little bit of information was being imparted to these impressionable youngsters, and I was very pleased to see a few parents taking their time to discuss exhibits with their progeny. But for us, the experience resembled a nightmare of sorts. Even the coffee shop couldn’t provide a respite with its dirty tables and disinterested staff.

There were also too many exhibits out of action, and too many fenced off areas. The maintenance and curatorial teams need proverbial bombs up them.

cheap entrance but expensive 3D show that was boring so dont bother. We wanted to spend a few hours where the kids could enjoy and learn something but most of displays did not have english instructions and staff were not really very helpful, some installations were quite old so I was a little bit disappointed.
