Located on a hill near the harbor. The easiest way to get here is by cable car. The fortress itself is small, there is a lighthouse and a very interesting Catholic church that is painted in Chinese style (few frescoes have been preserved). It has...More

The most interesting features of Guia Hill and Fortress are the military tunnels. The set near the lighthouse is open all the time, but the group near the cable car is only open on selected days. Use the cable car to climb the hill, then...More

Thoroughly recommend going to Guia Hill and visiting the fortress. A lot of history and great views of the city of Macau. Great break to experience open gardens in a very dense city.

Definitely a must visit. You get a beautiful view of Macau skyline from the top of the fortress. The lighthouse was under repairs but it is nicely maintained. There is a small museum with old artifacts, weapons, typhoon signals, etc...

The Guia Fortress is the smaller of the remaining forts, but it is beautifully preserved. Warning, if walking to the fort, it is quite a steep hill and not advisable in the summer heat, unless you are well acclimated to sub-tropical humidity.
