- RoseClairton, Pennsylvania16 contributionsBeautiful and calm!I had to make this beach a stop while circling the island! The water is soooooo calm! Very little waves! The beach has some great little shops, drink carts, and an awesome store I bought some jewelry from! Very chill vibes!Visited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 13 February 2024
- mannyA1969Danvers, Massachusetts35 contributionsBeautiful sunsets and warm clear water. Excellent find.Great little beach. A nice find. Nice clean warm water sheltered from any big waves. Nice clean sand and plenty of trees to sit under if you’ve had enough sun. Amazing sunset from this beach. Very relaxing and enjoyable.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 February 2024
- Tracy F861 contributionsRelaxation. This beach is beautiful. Just a short walk from the parking lot you can find a great place to place your seats under safed trees on a beautiful beach. The water is clear and there is plenty of shade. Great place to relax for the day.Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 22 February 2024
- sarafornia765 contributionsNice little quiet beachIt was raining, stormy and our rainforest tour got canceled, so we headed to Buye Beach and then Cabo Rojo. Buye Beach was a little hard to locate but we read more reviews and found we could park outside the gate for free and walk in. It's a nice long beach an there are public restrooms which is rare.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 22 February 2024
- gniteIreneToronto, Canada943 contributionsGorgeous BeachWe hired a driver to take us to different parts of the island and ended up here. It wasn't too busy as it was a Wednesday at the end of February. There is limited free parking on the road and a 10 dollar a day parking lot. The water is calm, clear and a beautiful blue/green colour. Sand is soft and white. I imagine it would get unpleasantly busy on the weekends, so better to go early and on a weekday if you are seeking serentity.Visited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 28 April 2024

Sargasso covered much of the water except for a thin ribbon near the shoreline on the day of our visit. The water was calm (no waves) and warm. Several groups blasted music on shore. The lot charges $5 and there was additional parking for free for about another 20 vehicles on the road leading up to it. Only water and soda, no juices, at the beach cafe.

The water is extremely clear and the waters calm, very relaxing. There is very little parking and the beach is small so get there really early. The snorkeling is ok, we saw some coral and schools of tropical fish which were beautiful but unfortunately most of the reef is dead due to human interference.

this is a place where you wont stub your toe in the water. well, no guarantees, but it's not likely. Beautiful sandy bottomed swimming/whatever. The bar isn't always open in the daytime, but it usually is open after 5. Coolers are allowed, at least in the off season. During tourist hours there is also a restaurant and a Frappe bar open. The parking lot charges on the weekends and during tourist season. Parking "on the street" can involve a seemingly "long" walk, but it's really not that far. Lately I've walked from 307 to the beach and it's only about ten minutes. I go there about 6 times a month.

We were there Presidents’ Day weekend so extremely busy. Just keep walking to the right and we found the seclusion we were after. Fabulous beach with warm calm water. Could not be any better. A real party atmosphere close to the entrance to the beach and multiple boats anchored very close to the shore. Looked like so much fun for the local PR people. Amazing we could walk a little farther and find total seclusion.

Beach is absolutely gorgeous! But I went on the weekend prior to 4th of July and it was packed!! Summer here in PR can be fun but you need to keep on mind that everyone is on vacation including locals so basically everyone are on the beaches and river areas.

After a short walk from parking past a cute/colorful trailer town and through the bar/restaurant beachside, you will find Buye beach, yet another stunning beach on the west coast with strong afternoon sun and clear waters. Snorkel visibility poor because the sand is fine/light and gets stirred up with every wave. Not much seaweed and thick trees lining the beach offering ample shade. Arrive and walk to the right/north to escape the crowds. There are facilities available and we did not pay for parking. Went in January just after earthquakes so it was not crowded at all. Would go back.
