Beautiful & quiet. Good for couple or people who just want to getaway but not much night life and activities. This is smallest gillis and very relaxing i personally like it cause we dive and enjoy the sunset

As part of the Gili Tour, this island was much cleaner and nicer than Gili T - a lot more relaxing and calmer too with amazing sea and beach

The sea here is one of the cleanest I've ever been to. The famous statue formation under water is very near this beach. There is also a lake here. There are many restaurants on the beach.

When we arrived we truly went....WOW....because of the crystal clear water. Take a few stacks back though and your opinion changes completely. As mentioned by quite a few other reviews, the rubbish everywhere is consuming the island and it's not a very pretty sight. We only stayed a couple of nights and that was enough. Surely, staying in one of the flash resorts on the Western side might be a different story.
I disagree with some reviews made on the Coral though. The massive destruction of the Coral Reefs around we're due to the big Earthquake in 2018 and therefore you see heaps of coral washed up on the beaches.

I have mixed feelings about Gili Meno. The water is gorgeous and we saw so many turtles and lots of fish. To be honest the turtles were for me worth the trip but I don't think you need more than a couple of nights here . We literally could not fathom why nobody is doing anything about the never ending litter, it was so sad and I guess that there needs to be an initiative from the top like banning plastic on the island as well as employing local people to do daily beach clean ups. I was shocked at how dead the coral was , especially having been to Thailand recently where it was vibrant and full of colour. If people want to continue to make a living from tourism they've got to spearhead initiatives to clean these islands up. There is a weekly clean up on Sundays but this is no near enough.

we spent two days on the island
. it was beautiful and peaceful but we were horrified by the amount of rubbish that was everywhere. the beach was littered with rubbis as was the ocean. the amount of dead corals and when snorkeling the lack of coral devastating. it very much saddened us.

WET SEASON NO NO. Go for a day trip and snorkel, don’t stay- it’s desolate and depressing. BIKE RIDING IS IMPOSSIBLE in the sand. They say it takes 1.5 hours to ride around… but you’ll spend 70% of that time pushing the bike not riding it. The snorkelling is good but everything else is a bit hmmm. Food is average (probably due to lack of resources) the water is expensive (relatively) and the bikes do not work on the island. Definitely needs some TLC.

The best island & quietest one of them all. Great little hotels and places to eat fresh fish along the beach, eating in the treehouses!

I visited Gili Meno circa 2012… TripAdvisor won’t let me write a review that is that old (is this wrong?) but I had such a special experience there, I thought I would drop a quick note. Part of me does not want to share the secret place with anyone, to keep it sacred … But it’s pretty far away, and I think it’s OK to leave a review… It is such a tiny island. I am sure that anyone that would consider going there is a pretty off the beaten path traveler.

When I went to Gili Meno, it was an island, off of an island, off of an island. That particular experience taught me how to find places on a map, and just go there without even looking into it. It taught me how to really explore the world and find a tiny stretch of sand in the middle of a giant ocean.

I took a boat from Padngbai…and they make a couple of stops at these three Gili islands, and I just jumped off into the water with my backpack at the one that I liked. It turned out to be the quietest one and the best one for me.

I took some diving lessons and got deep water certified, from this very tiny dive outfit. I think maybe 30 people lived on the island, and two of them were dive instructors. And I just sat in this little hut on the beach, and walked down the sand to have dinner. It is such a small island you can walk across it. Just some simple sand paths. It was truly beautiful and wonderful, slow place.

I looked at the satellite pictures, and I can see that I just gotten somewhat more busy… compared to my visit where they were literally four shacks/huts on the whole island. But perhaps not much busier. I truly enjoyed my stay there.
